Davey O’Brien Award Watch List Adds Braxton MillerOhio State football player Braxton (aka The Killer) Miller has been added to the Davey O'Brien Award watch list.
Braxton Miller,an Ohio State senior is among the thirty nine quarterbacks called to the list just late this week. Miller was a noted finalist two years ago for the award, along with Collin Klein of Kansas State and Johnny Manziel, the Heisman Trophy winner hailing from Texas A&M, now with the Cleveland Browns.
Braxton Miller presently clutches nine Ohio State records as he enters his final season for the Buckeyes. Last year, Miller dominated with 2,094 yards in throws, ran for 1,068 yards, and scored twenty four touchdowns overall. He finished the year with twelve scores despite a knee injury that caused him to miss three games.
Braxton Miller also injured his shoulder during OSU's loss to the Clemson Tigers, at the Orange Bowl. As a result of the injury, Miller under went surgery on the shoulder and was recuperating, causing him to miss spring practice. He will be fine to go when Fall camp starts this month.
Braxton Miller has also held the B1G Ten Silver Trophy award for the past two seasons. This award is presented to the Big Ten's most valuable player (MVP). In addition, Miller is currently one of the leading contenders for the 2014 Heisman Trophy.
